The Pocket Tripod Pro
The One We Can’t Live Without!
We bought this right when we began our RV Life when this tiny experimental tripod was just heading to manufacturing. Now, almost a year and a half later, it is always in Benji’s wallet and we use it to take photos all those times when we forgot or don’t have our standard tripod.
Available in Matte Black like ours, or brand new colors including Panda (white), Magma (red), and Jasper (mint green), it takes less than one second to set up and includes all the parts for any size phone or tablet.

UBeesize 51″ Extendable Tripod Stand with Bluetooth Remote for iPhone Android Phone, Heavy Duty Aluminum, Lightweight, Load Capacity: 1 Kg
Whenever we set out on a day where we know we will want lots of photos and video, we grab our standard portable tripod.
This 51″ telescoping tripod from UBeesize has stood up to the wear and tear of being thrown around in our backpacks, dropped off of ledges while framing shots, and a lot of quick-open actions when we pull to the side of the road for an unmissable moment.
The price point is low and therefore don’t expect too much from it. We found that the 51″ height is just a bit too short for some shots, and depending on if your phone is vertical or horizontal you may need to make some extra movements to pan and tilt. Fortunately, this tripod comes with a Bluetooth camera remote, so you can set it and forget it.
Alternate Daily Use Tripod
Alptoy 60″ Selfie Stick Tripod
If you want to step up your tripod situation just a tad from the UBeesize 51″ above, try this 60″ version that also features built-in selfie-stick functionality.
Your Starter Gimbel
If your videos are a bit shakey, consider adding a gimbal.
Hohem iSteady Mobile+
This 3-Axis Gimbal Stabilizer supports Inception mode, face tracking, and a speedy sports mode when paired with the Hohem Gimabl App.
You can use this gimbal as a standard tripod, but where it really shines is when you activate the stabilization features. You can use the on-device physical buttons to control your pan, tilt, and zoom.
