Here’s a taste of what’s happening this week in gay camping! Most gay campgrounds have theme weekends and parties to accompany them. You can choose to go camping and not partake in any parties. We suggest not taking the theme too literally – unless you want to!
Which theme weekend should you choose? Themes only define the activities, but don’t define the people who will be there. You’ll have a great time no matter what which you choose!
Here’s what’s up this week in gay camping:
Cactus Canyon

Chili Cookoff and Haunted Maze
This weekend, grab your favorite meat (or vegan equivalent) and cook up your favorite chili recipe at the annual Cactus Canyon Campground Chili Cook-Off for Campers. Bring your finished chili to the cafe on Saturday for a chance at a first, second, or third place prize. If you aren’t into making your own chili, that’s OK! Bring a side dish to complement all the chilis along with your appetite.
Then, head out with all your Cactus Canyon Campground new friends to the Monster Corn Maze and Haunted House Adventure!
Speaking of chili cookouts, we took part in the annual tradition at Shadow Falls gay campground in British Columbia, Canada. We didn’t win, but had a blast trying. Check out this video of all the fun!

Fall Colors Weekend
It’s a gorgeous Fall weekend at Camp Buckwood in Morgantown, Indiana for the Fall Colors Weekend.

It is a weekend full of safe kink fun and education at CampOut Poconos.KINK weekend kicks off Friday with a Campfire and a Union Suit Meet & Greet with DJ Pup Box.
Then on Saturday, head to the Pavilion for an Impact Play Demo with The Doctor followed by a Cigar & Whiskey Social Campfire. At night, it’s time to Show Your Kink at the Dance party with DJ Wolf.
Also on Saturday, it’s time to prioritize your health! Get your MPX (Monkeypox) Vaccine along with STI testing with Novus.
On Sunday at CampOut Poconos, it’s time to head to the Den for the “Confessional” Continental Breakfast. And of course, Puppy Massages are available all weekend – book at reception.

Halloween #1 and #2
We spent last halloween at CampOut Alabama, where they do Halloween to a level we have never seen before. An immersive haunted gay maze is the main attraction. There are a few spots left to book, so if you’re in the area, you should check it out! We’ll show you some fun video from last year’s installation.
